Endorsement from NRA

I'm proud to say I have again earned the endorsement of the National Rifle Association, the nation's largest advocacy group dedicated to the protection of your 2nd Amendment rights.

The NRA endorsement recognizes my commitment to conservative core values, and sensible legislation ensuring gun owners have the right to protect their families, homes and businesses.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MY OPPONENT AND ME ARE NOW CLEAR

My opponent originally earned a "?" grade by the NRA, meaning she was indifferent or hostile to gun owners' and sportspersons' rights. Her grade was later changed to a "D."

As with most issues, my opponent does not take a public stand. She will not admit where she stands on anything, and her bureaucratic doublespeak leaves voters wondering why she is a Republican.

But the 2nd Amendment is important to the citizens of Kansans, and her indifference and lack of commitment to protect our most important liberties will hurt her.

As I have said repeatedly, I am completely transparent on my views on the issues. I want the voters to know where I stand, and I am true to my word. I have always -- and will always -- support the 2nd Amendment. You can count on it!

WHAT THE GRADES MEAN

The NRA-PVF is non-partisan in issuing its candidate grades and endorsements. Our decisions are not based on a candidate's party affiliation, but rather on his or her record on Second Amendment issues. The NRA is a single issue organization. The only issues on which we evaluate candidates seeking elected office are gun-related issues.

A
A candidate who has supported NRA positions on key votes in elective office or a candidate with a demonstrated record of support on Second Amendment issues.
